We are a group of people from all backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures united around the common joy and privilege to parent our own children. It is the understanding of this group that each parent has a responsibility to educate, to give understanding, to prepare, and to protect their children as they see fit according to medical advice, religious beliefs, and good conscience.
At a time in which these basic tenets are weakened, it is the due course of our citizenship to raise up a concern to those elected officials and create stronger laws that safeguard parental rights. Our current NYS government is in the process of removing some of the most basic parental choices that interfere with family medical decisions, education, and the most historic and profound moments shared between a parent and a child.
We live in a beautiful state with some of the most gorgeous natural resources in the whole of our country. We have amazing colleges and universities around the State. We have everything from farming to high end financing. Probably the best part of New York is the people themselves. Although diverse in almost every way – the people is what make NEW YORK so special.
If you are proud to be from the great State of NEW YORK then you are in good company. Although lines of division are growing thicker around the country and the world – the one line that should never be crossed is the right of every parent to make choices for their own children.
