Who Decides?

The role of our State government is to safeguard parental authority and not to mandate medical decision and sexual education. It is the right of every parent to decide. Medical choice and sexual education should REMAIN between the parent, the child, and the pediatrician. Not the politician. Such paramount decisions are based on the beliefs we hold, the advice of our medical professionals, and our own conscience alone that we choose for our children.

Currently there are SIX bills in Albany that threaten the autonomy and basic right of parental choice for the people of New York State. These bills are:

would require school children to be vaccinated against human papilloma virus (HPV) as part of the regularly-required vaccinations.

would require that children receive a flu shot in order to attend a day care program birth- 18yrs.

Allows healthcare practitioners to administer ALL STD vaccines to minors at the age of 9 WITHOUT parental knowledge or consent!

Allows children 14 and older to be vaccinated without parental consent.

Compressive Sexuality Education for K – 12. REQUIRES comprehensive sexuality instruction starting at Kindergarten based on the controversial Sexuality Education Standards.

This bill also mandates sexuality instruction for students but begins in first grade.
